Facebook App Provides Free Content Tool for Products and Services

Facebook users are being introduced to a novel way to create and publish content for free. Izzui is a unique Facebook app for packaging information and sharing it online.

With origins in the eLearning field, the Izzui app was designed for corporate training and collaborative learning. New users are invited to discover how they can create engaging and interactive online courses to present and position products and services. With Izzui, any sized business can create material targeted to grow Facebook fans and customers, developing a community of interest around their content. Developers of Izzui content can invite their friends to courses, and follow their activity on uploads. In addition, any Facebook user can search on Izzui for information on interesting services and products, and then share, evaluate and comment on the published content.

Alfredo Leone, Managing Director at QuickLessons, remarks that Facebook is leveling the playing field as a marketing channel to reach a larger audience, adding that anyone who wants to communicate a service or market online can essentially use Izzui as a type of online digital signage within Facebook. He remarked, “With more and more business owners and entrepreneurs turning to Facebook to reach customers with their own pages, Izzui makes a great addition to the marketing mix, allowing page owners to create a novel message for Facebook users. Izzui can be used to communicate about a product, service, and drive new fans to a page.” Entrepreneurs, small business owners, not for profit organizations, B2B and corporate users alike are able to use Izzui to share content with a wide audience on Facebook. To learn more about Izzui, go to www.izzui.com/en/. Visitors can learn more from a short video at this site, or access Izzui directly within Facebook by typing “Izzui” in the search bar.

QuickLessons Invests In Quality and Usability Enhancements

Amazon Web ServicesAs QuickLessons continuously improves its platform, the company has anticipated the need to provide scalability to its solutions to continue to deliver them seamlessly to all of its customers worldwide. That's why QuickLessons’ parent company, Affero, has chosen to partner with Amazon Web Services (“AWS”). By using AWS's services, Affero is able to dynamically improve its server farm to answer changes in traffic. Affero will also be using Amazon CloudFront for its new content delivery network (CDN), allowing content acceleration that will bring significant improvements to the end user experience. The migration will also improve monitoring capabilities, increasing uptime and reliability. With CloudFront, popular files are delivered to end-users using a global network of edge locations. This means that QuickLessons will be able to deliver media assets (images, video, audio, and animation) and dynamic content worldwide with low latency and high transfer speeds.

Francisco Ferreira, Product Director at Affero, noted “We have developed several advances in QuickLessons and our Facebook application Izzui to change our architecture to a real cloud-based software. All of our assets (images, videos, animations and flash content) are now stored in virtual storage services that will allow us to scale indefinitely. We will reduce our costs with our infrastructure operation, increasing our investments in the platform itself and delivering even more features to clients.”

FINEPOn the development side, QuickLessons has raised R&D funds from FINEP, an agency that works to promote economic and social development of Brazil. It is a 2-year project to add mobility and accessibility capabilities to QuickLessons/Izzui. Alfredo Leone, Managing Director at QuickLessons explains, “We are investing significantly to develop HTML5-related technologies to deliver courses on any kind of device to everyone. Our goal is to create multiple delivery formats that will improve our clients’ ability to reach people using tablets, smart phones and connected TV’s. Video plays also a key role on our strategy. We will improve video editing and annotation features on our platforms.”
